Batsman Chris Nash has signed a new three-year contract to keep him at Sussex until the end of the 2012 season.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a fine campaign in first-class cricket last summer to earn a place in England's National Performance Squad for the winter.
He told the county's official website: "I'm delighted to sign an extension which keeps me at Sussex until 2012.
"2009 was a very successful year in one-day cricket for Sussex and also personally, but we were bitterly disappointed to be relegated in the County Championship.
"2010 is a huge season for us as we look to continue our one-day success, but also bounce back immediately in the Championship.
"I'm really excited about the coming month in South Africa and will return to Sussex in the new year in great shape for next season, where we can put into practice all that we have learned from last season and also our experiences in the Champions League in India."
