Vettori expects Napier reaction
New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori is confident his batsmen will return to form in the third and final Test against England in Napier.
Ross Taylor was the only member of the Black Caps' top order to post a half-century in the second Test defeat in Wellington as England squared the series with a comfortable 126-run success.
However, an upbeat Vettori said: "I'm sure the wicket in Napier will be a good, flat wicket - more similar to Hamilton than here I'd have thought - and that will hopefully suit us more.
"We're probably not getting the run production we'd like from our top order - our lower order is saving us a bit - and they need to come to the party and score big runs for us in future.
"England have regrouped and came back fighting, as we knew they would, and have found a couple of bowlers with good enthusiasm and skill.
"But there are still good levels of confidence in this team and, if those guys who didn't quite perform this time around step up in Napier, we'll be in with a great shout."
