Sussex clinch title

Sussex Sharks clinched the Totesport Division Two title after an embarrassing batting performance from Yorkshire at Hove.

Yorkshire were bowled out for just 99, with Luke Wright claiming three wickets and Robin Martin-Jenkins and Naved-ul-Hasan two apiece.

Sussex knocked off the runs in less than 25 overs as Chris Adams scored an unbeaten 49 and opener Richard Montgomerie contributed 36 runs to the hosts' total of 102-2.

Durham clinched second place with an eight-wicket win against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

The visitors chased down a rain-adjusted total of 154 from 34 overs with 19 balls to spare, thanks largely to Paul Collingwood's quick-fire unbeaten 67 from 62 balls.

However, Derbyshire's 135-run loss at Somerset meant Warwickshire secured the final promotion place anyway.

Warwickshire will replace Worcestershire in the top-flight after Lancashire won the relegation decider at New Road by 75 runs.

Worcestershire were set a target of 187 from 33 overs to win, but England paceman James Anderson was in fine form and took 3-12 as the hosts collapsed to 111 all out.
