Shoulder woe for Colly

Paul Collingwood could be forced to miss the first Test between England and New Zealand after complaining of soreness in his back and right shoulder.

The 31-year-old will have an injection in his shoulder after struggling in Durham's County Championship game against Lancashire at Old Trafford.

An ECB statement said: "He will be assessed again over the next 48 hours."

Collingwood had problems with the same shoulder during the one-day series against Sri Lanka in October 2007 and the tour of New Zealand earlier this year.
