Flintoff injury rocks England

England have been rocked by the news that Andrew Flintoff will miss the first two Tests against New Zealand.

The all-rounder complained of pain on the left side of his body during Lancashire's 232-run victory over Durham at Old Trafford on Friday.

"It's frustrating to have picked up an injury at this time. I want nothing more than to return to the England side," said Flintoff.

"I'll continue to do everything to make myself available for selection."

England also have fitness concerns over Paul Collingwood and Tim Ambrose. Collingwood has suffered a recurrence of a shoulder problem while Ambrose has a sore neck.
