Ealham enjoys Notts success
Veteran Nottinghamshire all-rounder Mark Ealham was a happy man after helping his county edge closer to the County Championship title with a massive win over Gloucestershire.
Ealham took nine wickets in a day as Gloucs collapsed twice to lose by an innings and 64 runs at Trent Bridge, putting Notts top of the table as they bid to follow up their Division Two crown last season with the Division One title this term.
"We didn't expect things to be so good for us when we saw the bright sunshine," said Ealham.
"But the ball was swinging from early on, we got on top of them in the first innings and carried that momentum through.
"I have passed 50 wickets in a season for the first time in my career, so that was special, and I'm looking forward to taking on my old club Kent next week.
"We've got up front in the championship at a good stage in the season. We have the experience from winning Division Two in a similar fashion last year and hopefully we can do it again."
