Double delight for Northants
Northamptonshire are delighted to have won their appeal to be able to field South African duo Andrew Hall and Johan van der Wath this season.
The pair were among four players who appealed against their initial registrations being denied by the ECB, with the quartet proving successful second time around.
A club statement read: "We are delighted that both Andrew and Johannes are now available for us for 2008.
"This strengthens our playing squad and enables us to push for honours in all competitions. We are looking forward to having both players with us as soon as possible."
Northants coach David Capel added: "It's been a really good bit of news for us and it's obviously a big boost.
"We've had to bite the bullet a bit in the earlier part of the season, but now we have two top players available to us."
