Caddick offers to help
Somerset veteran Andy Caddick says he is ready to help out England should they require an experienced fast bowler.
The 36-year-old has taken 234 Test wickets for England during his career, but has been out of the international picture since playing in the 2003 World Cup.
His last Test appearance came in England's 225-run win at the SCG at the end of the 2002-03 Ashes tour which ended in a 4-1 defeat to Australia.
Having overcome a serious back complaint, an upbeat Caddick said: "In the last three years I do feel as though this is the best year I've had so far.
"My body is feeling great and the bowling is going well and I feel like the Caddy of old. It's all there: the pace is still there, the bounce is still there and the shape is still there.
"So, for the future you never know. If called upon I will be happy to play, I haven't called my career to an end and hopefully I won't.
"I'm happy playing my cricket. If I get an Ashes call-up again, so be it. If I don't then I don't - it's as simple as that."
