Broad relishing England role

May 05 2011 - 16:30:16

Stuart Broad does not intend to let his elevation to England's Twenty20 captain change the way he plays the game.

"I think it's important I keep the same passion as I do every time I put an England shirt on," said the 24-year-old, who was named on Thursday as Paul Collingwood's successor.

"Obviously every time you take the field as an England cricketer you want to set a good example and play the game in the right way. I have had the odd occasion in the past when I've maybe gone over the line, but I've learnt a huge amount from that not just as a cricketer, but as a person. I feel in a really good place to take on this opportunity."
