Anderson puts England on top
James Anderson's 5-73 has put England in the driving seat on day two of the second Test against New Zealand.
The recalled paceman made an immediate impact after England reached 342 all out after starting the day on 291-5.
Anderson bowled Matthew Bell for a duck and then weighed in with the key wickets of Ross Taylor (53) and Stephen Fleming (34).
The Lancashire seamer took five of the first six wickets to fall with a devastating spell of bowling which left the Black Caps struggling on 113-6.
Daniel Vettori provided some respite with an unbeaten 50, but Paul Collingwood's 3-23 took care of the tail as New Zealand were all out for just 198.
Captain Michael Vaughan and Alastair Cook then survived a nervy five-over spell at the end of the day to leave the tourists on 4-0 and with a 148-run advantage.
Earlier, England had extended their overnight first-innings total as Tim Ambrose (102) made a maiden Test ton and Collingwood chipped in with a gritty 65 before the tourists were all out for 342.
