Strauss concerned at changes

England captain Andrew Strauss has revealed his reservations about the plan to scrap 50-over cricket from the county scene.
Following a vote from the combined counties last month, the Friends Provident Trophy will disappear from the schedule, with a 40-over league, to be played mainly on a Sunday, taking its place.
The England skipper believes domestic cricket should directly mirror the international stage where one-day 50-over cricket remains a staple part of the diet.
"My personal view is that domestic cricket should mirror international cricket, so in that respect playing 40-over cricket is not ideal," said Strauss.
"Forty-over cricket is not radically different from 50-over cricket but it just seems sensible to me that if your domestic season is a way of preparing players for international cricket you should be playing the same game."
