Afghanistan lost their last five wickets for just five runs as Zimbabwe snatched a dramatic three-run victory in the third one-day international in Harare.

Chasing a target of just 130 to win, Afghanistan looked to be cruising on 121 for five in the 27th over, but after Samiullah Shenwari was sent back for 29 by Chris Mpofu, Zimbabwe staged a remarkable comeback.

Mpofu (three for 24) removed Najibullah Zadran for a duck with the next ball, while Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan swiftly followed. Sean Williams (three for 15) then bowled out Amil Hamza for two with the tourists four short of their target, all out for 126 after 29.3 overs.

Tarisai Musakanda made 60 and Malcolm Waller was 36 not out in Zimbabwe's 129 all out to save the blushes of their under-performing team-mates as they reduced the deficit to 2-1 in the five-match series.
