Fit-again Mitchell McClenaghan and Adam Milne back for New Zealand

Seam duo Mitchell McClenaghan and Adam Milne have been named in New Zealand's Champions Trophy squad after proving their fitness in the Indian Premier League.

The pair will be part of the Black Caps' 15-man squad for the tournament, which takes place at Edgbaston, the Oval and Cardiff from June 1.

Injury problems mean McClenaghan and Milne have not been seen in New Zealand colours since the World T20 semi-final defeat to England last March but have shown enough for their respective IPL franchises in recent weeks to persuade the national selectors.

Corey Anderson is also named as an all-rounder having been reduced to specialist batting duties recently by his own fitness issues.

"It's been good to see all three back on the park and bowling," head coach Mike Hesson said.

"Together, they add a lot of experience to our squad. Mitch and Adam have been running in well, and Corey has shown he'll be capable of providing an option with the ball."

Batsman Colin Munro misses out and Warwickshire's Jeetan Patel is preferred to leg-spinner Ish Sodhi, a breakout star at the World T20.

New Zealand squad: K Williamson (capt), C Anderson, T Boult, N Broom, C de Grandhomme, M Guptill, T Latham, M McClenaghan, A Milne, J Neesham, J Patel, L Ronchi, M Santner, T Southee, R Taylor.
