Glamorgan have suspended batsman Mike O'Shea after he was charged with a drink-driving offence.
The 21-year-old right-hander attended a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday and was subsequently banned for his misdemeanour.
Director of cricket, Matthew Maynard, commented: "The club takes matters like this extremely seriously.
"Mike O'Shea is a talented cricketer at Glamorgan, but he has severely broken the code of employment.
"This will not be tolerated. He has been duly suspended and we can only hope that he uses this time as a period of reflection."
O'Shea himself added: "I'm deeply embarrassed about my behaviour and I apologise unreservedly to Glamorgan and the supporters for the effects my actions have had on the club."
