Yorkshire have handed new contracts to youngsters Karl Carver, Matthew Waite, Joshua Shaw and Jared Warner.

The quartet have penned deals to extend their stay at Headingley until December 2018 while former England Under-19s batsman Jonathan Tattersall has signed a short-term contract until the end of June.

Director of cricket Martyn Moxon said: "They are the future of the club going forward and this gives them a little bit of peace of mind that they're with us for another couple of years.

"It gives them the opportunity to improve and challenge for places in the first team."

Carver has made five first-class appearances for the White Rose, with Shaw featuring once last summer. Waite and Warner have yet to take the field for the first team.
